Launch of the “Families in the Company” program

Acti-Familles and the Guérette Family Foundation launch “Families in Business” today. This program aims to support families in the region who aspire to start business projects in order to better meet the needs of their loved ones, while positively contributing to the needs of families in the community.

For more than twenty years, the Foundation created by the late Charles Guérette has supported the initiatives of the Acti-Familles organization to accompany it in its mission, whose main objective is to improve the living conditions of families in vulnerable situations.

It is with the desire to renew and perpetuate the partnership between The Foundation and Acti-Familles that the two organizations have worked together to create this new program and support the creation of concrete projects with the potential to create sustainable jobs while supporting vulnerable families.

“This is a very exciting project that naturally fits into a spirit of continuity for our Foundation given our long-standing collaboration with Acti-Familles. We are proud to contribute to helping families in our community,” said Anne Guérette, president of the Foundation.

As part of the deployment of the new program, the Foundation will annually deliver up to $5,000 to benefit one or more projects, which will be chosen according to pre-established criteria by the members of the committee that was specially formed for the creation and management of this program.

“Acti-Familles is proud to collaborate in the implementation of this new program, which aims to provide additional assistance to families residing in the area served by our organization. We are always present to collaborate with the players in our community and improve the situation of families”, said Michèle Bard, President of the Board of Directors.

The “Families in Business” program complements the existing programs of the various partners in the community (CODET, MRC, SADC, etc.). Interested persons can find the form and all the details from Mrs. Jane Breton, director of Acti-Familles or on the organization’s website.
